For a luxury apartment located in a central district of Milan, Shapes Italy created innovative custom furnishings based on an intriguing existing interior design project.
The use of premium materials and carefully curated color tones gave the modern spaces refined touches of industrial style.
In this single-level apartment, housed within a historic Milanese building, Shapes Italy contributed to the expansive open-plan living area with entrance hallway, the two bathrooms, both bedrooms, and the spacious walk-in wardrobe.
Attention to detail was paramount; every element was carefully designed so that each glance around the room captures the observer’s eye.
A standout feature is the living area wall, entirely clad in 100×100 cm porcelain stoneware slabs. The brass storage volumes, with their distinctive angled design, reflect light in ever-changing ways.
In the master bedroom, a wardrobe with sage-colored lacquered doors was created, equipped with lead-toned handles.
Concealed behind the wardrobe, the elegant en-suite bathroom is accessed through a pivot door seamlessly integrated into the wardrobe fronts.
The spacious walk-in wardrobe is also accessed through the master bedroom and was designed to match the pastel tones of the walls.
Inside, it features two open wardrobes, shelving for shoes and bags, and a small vanity table complete with a backlit mirror.
The bedside tables designed for the master bedroom feature a black raw-iron frame, while the top and drawer were crafted using the same parquet slats laid in the room.
In the second bedroom, a fully suspended wardrobe was installed, featuring ambient lighting along the bottom edge. The lacquer finish is in the same sage green tone, and push-to-open mechanisms were used for the doors.
In the guest bathroom, the sink countertop was built with a black raw-iron frame and clad in a sand-colored panel.
The cabinet below is made of rosewood veneer and features two full-extension drawers.
The open wall unit in raw black iron in the master bathroom: the exposed welding and the natural imperfections of the metal give the piece a high aesthetic value and a unique character.
